Hello Everyone!

So it's world book day today, as you probably know, and at my school we got to dress up as our favourite book characters. I chose...

Annabeth Chase

What are you waiting for? Don't you want to see my costume? I thought so. Read on, please, Read on...

My T-Shirt

I bought my Camp-Half Blood T-Shirt online. And when did I order it? Less than a week before world book day. It was almost impossible to find one that would arrive on time - but I managed it, and it was all worth while. You may be saying, "That's the wrong design!", but from what I know there isn't a set design. So just look at my beautiful T-shirt and be kind to it :3

My Bead Necklace

Do you know what? I'm really proud of this necklace. Why? Well I made it myself! With paint, sharpies and leather! And guess what? I have a tutorial on it coming out on Saturday! Anyway, since Annabeths necklace consists of nine beads, mine does too. The clasp may be a bit advanced for those Greek gods, but I'm sure the demi-gods could work it out :)

My New York Yankees Baseball Cap

Fantastic next day delivery from wherever I bought this hat! I love it and wear it almost all the time. Not school, except today of course! I'm definitely wearing this out to the park and the beach in the summer, even though I know almost nothing about them except they are an American baseball team and sometimes called the fourty-niners. Maybe that's more than some people in my country know!

My Dagger

I'm quite proud of this dagger. Why? Let's not go there again. I made it, that's why! There won't be a tutorial on this so I suppose I'll just have to tell you how I made it! First of all I cut out a dagger in a similar shape to Annabeth's from cardboard. Then I covered the Handle in PVA glue, stuck paper on the glue, covered the paper again and so on until I had a thick, grippable handle. My blade looked quite unstable, so I just covered it in a layer of glue just in case. Then I left it to dry. When it was dry I spray-painted it gold, then added mud, dirt and maybe a teeny bit of blood :3

My Belt

So, my belt isn't a masterpiece. Not at all. I hope you agree that it could be much better. But it will do. I just used my sparkly belt and wrapped it in leather. That's an overstatement.

I used the dangling part of the leather cord to make a hold for my dagger by tying it into a circle. Sounds simple, right? Well let me tell you... It isn't!

Any Extra Things?

I did, of course, wear jeans. Just normal jeans, I don't think they're skinny if you're interested. And then I also wore trainers because... well that's kind of what I thought Annabeth would wear.

Thank you for reading!

This costume was great fun to wear - especially as one of my best friends came dressed as Annabeth too, and my bestest friend came dressed as Zoe Nightshade (another Percy Jackson character)!
